My family and me.

I wouldn’t like to have to choose between my father or my mother, both have set high standards.But I think I bear a striking resemblance more to my father. We are very  calm persons and we always think twice before thinking about doing something. I think that because of all of this I admire him. He is very strong, he is always fine although he is not in reality but he does it to not worry us. He is a very hard-working person, he never gives up and he has sacrificed lot of thing through his life to get what he has now: four good sons and an incredible wife.  Also, he never argues, I really look after to him on that. We think it is necessary very few times and In my opinion it is a big advantage.

But I have to admit that I have qualities from both, good and not so good.  As I am growing up I am realizing each time more that through the years I do many things I don’t like of her. That`s why now I can`t criticize her.  From my mother I would like to have qualities like for example her dedication and the love she puts to everything she does for us without expecting anything in return. She is like a super mother.

 On the other hand, not everything could be nice. I posses some qualities not so incredible. It’s true that I don`t use to get angry but if you really know me, you know that I am a person which have it inside and I`m not sure if that`s good because yo can exploit sometime. I believe it is something that has always run in the family. My mother uses to express what she fells and is more sentimental than my father and me. Anyway I wouldn`t change her for nothing in the world. She is my best friend, we have always get on very well, even during my years of teenagers when it is supposed that we are more rebels.

Physiscally I totally look like my mother, everybody say that we have the same way of laughing and the same smile. That’s because we have a sense of humor very similar. 

I think that in my life, a very good goal would be follow my parents steps.

Introduction and conclusion.

                     Space debris
Space debris is increasingly a very common problem nowadays. If we look for information on the internet we can see lot of news about new objects fell down from the sky. This rubbish is caused in many times for the human being and his experiments. We must be more aware of the effects of throwing this kind of devices to the space because sooner or later it can return to the earth.

To sump up, we are not the centre of the world and even we don't see the effects that these objects have in the space, it's very important that we moderate this emission of researches with no return of the devices.

The idea of having fun nowadays.

I completely disapprove of this kind of people who is not capable of having fun without drinking. At my age I’ve had to listen lot of modern teenagers who say : I don't know how to have fun and enjoying the party if I haven’t drunk . For me, It’s perfectly hideous that people so young think that way, they really don’t know how to fun.
Alcohol seriously affect teenagers’ mood, they get to the point that they don’t know what they are doing having terrible fights. They get up on the next morning and they even don’t remembered what happened last night. I think this is completely disgusting So young they are very dependent on alcohol.
Thirty or forty years ago, teenagers and really knew how to have fun in a healthy way with our hurting their health. They went out and played outdoors without having technology, or without thinking on drinking and, dos you know what? They were really happy, even more than nowadays.
I think it is not a question about how to stay healthy, it is more a problem of education. To my mind, parents should talk more about this with their sons, because teenagers are very influenced people, so at this age, they must be very intelligent and having clear what they want and what not, that’s whats fails, they don’t know this and their only objective is to be cool, If they don`t do what it’s commonly accepted by teenagers, which is going put drinking and smoking, and if you don’t do it, for the you are a frikie. That’s why they should get away from this kind of people even though It’s difficult because the big amount of teenagers are this way, I have live it in first hand.
What is clear is that teenagers must be very carefully with their friends, the ambient were they move and they be serious with what they want to be.

Misleading advertising problematic

Adverts and commercials can influence very much people’s way of thinking and their perception of the world due to marketing strategies very influencing on today’s society.

Young people like, for example, teenagers are even more influenced by this because they are on a age where they haven’t formed a personal opinion and they have not already a clearly defined character.

 As I see it, for example TV adverts are a good way to show to the world a product, its features etc.. and ad mans through advertising agencies are very good describing whatever in an attractive way to make people buy it.

 

To my mind the real problem is misleading advertising because although there are companies which are in charge of this kind of advertising but I think It is not sufficient because since we get up in the morning until we go to bed, we are constantly bombarded by commercials everywhere: on tv, on the radio, on the Internet, in the streets etc… It should be much more controlled.

We have a very clear example on the well-known advertising of Pantene shampoo where the woman who is using it shows that this shampoo produces a very intense pleasure on her even till the point of the orgasm. It is not exactly misleading advertising but shows how this successful tv adverts exaggerate and even invent qualities of the products.

That’s why I think that adverts should be submitted to probes much more strict before announcing it on the media.

Love nowadays.

I think love has evolved over the years and not exactly in a good way.  
In my opinion, may years ago love was much more pure. In the actuality love has transformed into whatsapps, last connections and dedications on instagram.
That's not love, people is more worried about showing that they are happy and in loved than in loving. It is very common on teenage couples which write lots of love's letter declaring themselves eternal love and in question of two weeks they've broken up and they star a "cybernetics war" telling how much they hate the other one.
We are in a era in which we are in love with the idea of love but many times we are not really loving. We fool ourselves thinking we are in love because everybody has always told us that It is such an incredible sensation that If you haven't already felt it you should hurry up and try to feel it as soon as possible.
Society in general put pressure on us to fall in love.

Spanish education.

Today I would like to talk about some aspects of our country, specially of Spanish education.
We don't have any Spanish university among the top 150 best universities in the world, I think that is sign of how our education system is.
I would like to star for one thing very important and in which is based education here: students study to pass, not to learn so they study by heart, when the exam arrives they write it down and inmediately they forget everything or almost everything they had learnt.
That's the big failure of our education.
Teachers and the state in general has focused education in marks and that`s the reason why we have doctors without vocation and people who would have love to study this degree couldn't do it because of a tenths.
I agree with the idea that you must have a basic knowledge to start taking part in each degree but I think that on some cases we should think more in who would do better his job.
Another thing which In my opinion is basic is motivation. Over the years I've had lot of teachers and It changes so much from having one to another... It changes completely the way of studying the subject. But It has to do also with vocation, If teachers studied by vocation they would motivate much more their pupils.

Man on the edge.

This man on the edge is going through a hard situation in his life after his partner has broken up with him.

He is on the edge of the building, the police have tried a the ways to help him but in his heart there is only on thing, his beloved. He fells his life has no reason without her. 

He is ready to jump, just in the moment when he is going to jump, her love appears, she has to tell him something very important. He has a reason for him to keep living, she is pregnant, she broke up with him because when she knew she was pregnant she was very scared and she was not sure if she could manage the situation. She felt guilty because she though she was going to change his life and she wasn't sure if that was what he wanted.

When he heard this, he inmediatly jump again into the room kissing her. He wasn't going to leave her alone now, more than ever they must keep together and start a new period together.

Global warming

Problems:
We are one of the biggest problems the environment has. We are the only being who destroys his surroundings. We produce and produce without thinking about what effects can have that in the nature.
Also there are many people who doesn't recycle.
Another example is public transport,  some persons buy their own car which contaminate more than using the public transport.
What's more, we are cutting trees without control when we could recycle the paper.
On the one hand, Kioto's protocol is being used in a wrong way because the countries which need to contaminate more, buy to the countries which contaminate less their percentage of contamination.
On the other hand, factories doesn't control the amount of gases they send out to the surroundings.

Solutions:
Government should take more measures to make people aware of what recycle can mean for the environment like awareness campaigns through the media.
People should use more often public transport or in case they use their own vehicles they should, if they are going to the same place, go together in the same car.
Massive deforestation must be seriously punished and government should make laws in favour of the trees.
This use of Kioto's protocol should be completely forgiven for having a protocol more effective.
The pollution produced by this factories would be also sort out if Kioto's protocol would be harder.

Rostropovich and Sex pistols.

Sex pistols was a punk rock group formed by four young mens who were rebels and didn`t agree with what It was stablished by society. They were against rules, order and discipline, that`s why they tried to express it through their music. The truth is that they were the creators of punk movement. Their actuation were aggressive and violent  with songs that were social and political reviews.

Rostropovich was a cellist and pianist globally known who was, a years later, also orchestra conductor. He was against soviet regime, and that`s the reason why he was alienated. He was a strong  defense of human rights and freedom. He also disagreed with the regime stablished by their society and was in favor of democracy. He was in a certain way a rebel of his age.

My classmate Alba corrected by her.

She is the person I first met the first day at the university.

For her, It´s the second year of university but in this case, in a different degree.

She is from Murcia and she already had a year of experience so she have helped a lot with the classes, the teachers and the performance.

She is always smiling and making people laugh. We are very similar but at the same time. Of what I am sure is that we connected at first sight.

Alba´s correction.

I think your text is a bit short and you can write more. You can write about your friendship with her and describe her physically, and personally. Your topic sentence is short and you must write a topic sentence that say more of the text. But your concluding sentence is very good and describes very well the text.

Guernica, Picasso.

Guernica can make anyone fell a mix of emotions.
For me, this painting is one of the few which says so much with so little.
In my opinion, Picasso, when he painted this, he wanted to explain everybody everything he had inside of him.
Enssentially for me, it shows a feeling of fear, panic and bewilderment. I believe, the author didn´t know exactly what he felt and the best to way to express it but also of giving a opportunity to everyone who watch the painting to interpret what he wanted to mean and what everyone has inside of him.
Also I can see a fight between light and shades.
Guernica is a different way of telling the world everything Picasso had inside.

First week at the university.

I have to recognised that this first week has been strange.
Everything is new, I don´t know the teachers, I don´t know my classmates and to be honest I have been a little bit lost with everything.
I don´t know the subjects and what we are going to do during the course.
Also since 14th of september I have had to go every day from Lorca to Murcia by car or train, that´s why I have less time to do the tasks and to study.
I think that when I move to live in Murcia everything will be easier.
I just need more time to pick up the pace

My name is Mónica, I am eighteen years old and I have just arrived to Murcia to start my first year on this degree: English studies.

I am from Lorca so I had to search an appartment to move to Murcia. This will be my first year living without my family.

This will be a year full of new experiences which, I hope, make me grow as a person and enrich myself.

When I made PAU, I didn´t now which degree I was going to choose.

In July, I was between Translation or English studies.

Unfortunately, I was not accepted at Translation, being the eleven on the last list of august.

Anyway, I want to be positive and see what this degree can teach me an try to do my best.
