Essay

                                          The purpose of education
With respect to education, there is a global system in the whole world and it is not necessarily the right one. There have been lot of argues trough the years about this topic because it is truth that there are different ideas about the definition of what a right education must be. There are people who think about education as the idea of learning what there have already been studied and limit to that information, and other who think about it on a autonomic and imaginative way, taking the information which you have been done and question it and add your own opinion and references.

Since we are very young, we are taught to study and to stock up information in almost all of our subjects. And I have to ask you something, do you all think this is the best way of educating? Probably many of you think it is not but the problem is that there are many people who think that there is not a better or another way. They are completely wrong, education can be taught in a different way which awaken the curiosity of the students to learn more and of course, to question if that information is completely right or they can change some things looking for new information to verify and modify the old one, creating this way, our own  knowledge.

What's more, we are though in this indoctrination because it is what society expect of us. We are expected to accept what it was imposed in the past, but we would never advance if we just learn what other people discovered or taught and we are in a era where we have many things available to help us to form our own materials, for example, technology. But we have to look for signifiant information, that is to say, me must know what to search for, what can really help us. And to obtain that, we can not limit ourselves to what has already been done, we must be creative and try to challenge what it has been accepted in the past.

Autonomy is also something that we are not used to until we arrive at university and teachers tell us that now is our time, we are who have to organise our information. The time before that, we have just underlined in the class, many times without knowing what were underlining. That shouldn't be education. We are like machines studying for exams because we are told that those exams will decide our future. Since that moment, students don't focused on learning and developing their abilities and creativity, they just think that they must study that for the exam. That's not education.

As a result, we have and education that it is not really educating people and making they learning new things for their future, they just memorize information like machines not worrying about creating their own information for their future training but just caring about a single mark which won’t really define them.
